Swati Patel, (Ph.D), is an Senior assistant professor at Ganpat University, Faculty of Computer Applications, Gujarat, India. Her doctoral work focuses on IoT-based smart irrigation systems.

Her doctoral work focused on IoT-based smart irrigation systems. She has more than 18 years of experience in teaching and research. She is a recipient of the Best Theses award by ISATRE and President Award for Staff Excellence in Teaching and Learning category for 2022 by Ganpat University. APMC Unjha appreciated the IoT based smart irrigation system, proposed by her. She also owned three different patents.

She has conducted extensive research on IoT-based smart irrigation architecture and published research in conferences and reputed journals, including IEEE and Springer. She has extensively worked as the NAAC criteria coordinator. She has guided more than 100 students.
