Savan K. Patel(Ph.D., Msc(CA & IT), currently working as an Associate Professor in Acharya Motibhai Patel Institute of Computer Studies, Kherva. He joined the institute in 2005. He has done his graduation from Gujarat University and masters in computer application from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, Gujarat. He has completed his Ph. D from Ganpat University, Kherva, Mehsana, Gujarat in 2017. He loves to solve database-critical challenges. He is an innovative teacher who loves to teach with fun.

He has around 17 years of experience in the field of teaching. His areas of interest are open-source Web Development, statistical analysis. He had taught various subjects in the field of computer science such as C programming, System Analysis and Design, Database Management System, Open-source Technology, Computer Organization, Information Technology.

Published and presented 40+ research papers in reputed International Journal and Conference proceedings indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, published 2 book chapters in Scopus Index Book. His published research works are well cited by the research community worldwide which shows his exceptional research performance, Google citations: 329 and H-index: 6. Dr. savan has been very active in the technical community and served on the editorial board of various international journals, program committee member for international conferences and an active technical reviewer of repute Journals and conferences of IEEE, Springer, Elsevier. He has contributed in 24 International Conferences and Journal as Reviewer, PCM and session chair. 

Currently 3 students are pursuing their Ph. D under his guidance. Apart from teaching he has played an active role in Academic Administration, Co-Curricular and non-curricular Activities. Looking at his contribution, he has received the President award from Ganpat University in the year 2019,2020 and 2022 in the category of Special Recognition, Institutional Capacity Building and research category respectively.
